29th Walk-a-thon – Episcopal Charities
Saturday, October 13, 2007, Grace Cathedral
7.5 and 12 mile walks through San Francisco

Bishop Marc Andrus, his wife Sheila and 200 walkers from ages 3 to 93 walked up and down hills in San Francisco to visit Episcopal Charities' 14 partner agencies (photos) that provide services from homeless shelters, addiction, seafarers', and hospital ministry, to immigrant resource centers, programs for the mentally disabled, and affordable life-care communities for seniors. Episcopal Charities' Walk-a-thon raises money by individuals and parish teams to support partner agencies and parish start up programs in San Mateo, Marin, San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties. This year more than $35,000 was raised to support next years programs supporting those in need in San Francisco Bay Area communities. SAVE THE DATE; 2008 Walk-a-thon, Saturday, October 11.
