Hello!
To create and nurture a more just and merciful world, Episcopal Charities announces the second year of a new funding stream to resource Episcopal congregations in the Diocese of Chicago. The Parish Partner Grants Program will fund new outward-facing projects in Episcopal congregations designed to meet the individual and/or collective needs of local vulnerable persons/populations. Funding may provide for improvements to proven outward-facing programs or projects with demonstrable impact.
This new grant program encourages Episcopal parish-to-parish partnerships, partnerships between Episcopal parishes and other local congregations (eg: United Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, etc), and partnerships between parishes and other organizations or governmental entities. Episcopal Charities imagines project ideas that address systems change specific to local community need and, potentially, larger or more sophisticated projects that meet the basic and immediate needs of vulnerable persons/communities. Congregations with greater resources are strongly encouraged to partner with other local or nearby congregations. Funding may range from small micro-grants of $1,000 to a larger grant, potentially, of $25,000.
If your Parish has a project you would like to see funded, please complete the letter of inquiry by filingl out the form provided in the link below no later than May 15, 2022. We will then be in-touch by May 25th to invite your parish to formally apply. Timeline info and details also available through this link.
Grace and Peace,
Episcopal Charities
